The article dives into the meaning behind what FR & Co stands for and the purpose of a boutique focused on real women that's inspired by real women.

Nestled in the heart of Historic Main Street St. Charles, you’ll find a shop featuring modern-classic clothing and products for every woman (seriously, every woman). FR & Co focuses on curating products that can follow a woman through her whole life- as owner Ashley Jaswal put it, “whether you are 22 or 82.”
FR and Co, the Storefront on Main Street was born out of Frank Regards, a brand that Jaswal designs and manufactures, and which began solely online. As business grew, Ashley and the FR & Co team felt the need to expand their storefront offerings beyond the Frank Regards line. FR and Co, Ashley explained, focused on providing products in three core areas; women, home, and gift. At the storefront they felt that the Frank Regards line that Ashley created really nailed home and gift, but “we were missing the women aspect, and that didn’t sit well.”
Ashley’s dedication to quality in all aspects of her company sets FR & Co apart- if something doesn’t sit well with her, she will work to make sure she is 100% satisfied with her business. When she decided they were falling short in the boutique department, it was no different. They sourced styled apparel and accessories from other small businesses, hung a new sign, and became a storefront. Ashley has since dropped the wholesale element of her brand and now runs her storefront on Main Street St. Charles full-time, selling Frank Regards products as well as a variety of boutique clothing & gift products.
Ashley started FR & Co in the corner of her tiny apartment. At the time she made greeting cards-- it was a creative outlet for her. Ashley’s work days were spent in the world of corporate marketing, and she needed something that was uniquely hers in creation and execution. Then, as her business grew, Ashley did too. She got engaged, bought a house, got married, and found that while she still related to the “more mimosas” shirts that were (and still are) a Frank Regards staple, her life was looking a little different, so her company should too. In order for her company’s mission and products to remain raw and honest, Ashley had to define her path. “I want to be able to relate to the product that we offer.” That’s how the idea of creating products that follow women throughout their lives formed.
“It’s just been following me through the moments of my life, and then that’s what made me recognize we wanted to really fill that purpose of following a woman's journey throughout” said Ashley. To truly fulfill that purpose meant to look ahead to later stages of life as well. So Ashley draws not just from her own life, but from other women around her.
Female focused. That is truly, the definition of FR & Co and Ashley is unabashed about leaving men out of the vision. “Guys are great, that’s wonderful, but we want to stick to where we’re tried and true, and where we feel the most purpose, and where our core is.” Ashley is dedicated to thoughtfully creating and curating products inspired by real women -that appeal to real women.
When you walk into the Storefront you’ll feel welcomed, and wanted. From mugs for girls moving into their first dorm room and home products for a first apartment, to bridal party tees, “aunty” shirts and their popular “mama” sweatshirts, there really is something for every[woman]. The store is wheelchair and stroller accessible, with inclusive sizing. To learn more about FR & Co, the Storefront and to shop their fun clothing and accessories, go to www.frandcompany.com

Twin Cities Moms Blog is a 100% mom ran blog based out of Minnesota. It has created an online community with a personal touch. Not only do they help mommas through their blog, they took it a step further to offer events just for moms. It gives moms in the area a chance to get out of the house (free of children) and really connect with other moms in a fun, stress-free environment.
Here, at FR & Company, we strive to connect with a woman at any stage in her life, including moms. When TCMB reached out to be a sponsor for their event, we knew we couldn't pass-up this opportunity. We love to support moms in any way possible!
This year we're proud to announce that we were a swag bag sponsor for their most recent event! We donated our "So Much Mom Stuff" totes to the "Mom's Morning Out - Brunch and Build" event. This event was a morning filled with socializing, crafting, tons of food & coffee and of course swag! Our bags were handed out to women who attended the event, and were loaded with other sponsor goodies as well as a special offer from FR & Co!
This year's "Mom's Morning Out" was a sold out event! 60 women spent the morning crafting their choice of hanging benches or banners while enjoying coffee & breakfast all while being kid-free!

]]>Now that it’s nearing the end of January, I’m sure you’ve started to notice (and started to buy) all of the Valentine’s candy. I mean come on, who can ignore all of the giant heart shaped boxes of chocolate & our personal favorite – Ferrero Rochers.
This time of year, buying the candy and gifts are the easy part. It’s buying the “perfect card” that puts a damper on our love for this holiday. Because let’s be honest, finding the perfect card these days is near impossible. If we see one more sappy, googly-eyed, or worse, the cards that freakin’ sing, we’re going to lose our shit.
Since we can’t be the only ones with these thoughts, we’ve done our research and compiled a list of our favorite Valentine’s Day cards. We found the sweet & simple, the weird, and the rated PG-13ish. We’re sure you’ll find at least one that speaks to you & your loved one!
A.) "To My Dearest- I see London, I see France, let me in your underpants. The End"
B.) "You make the World a better place"

If you’re like us, you look for any reason to indulge in copious amount of sweets & not feel bad about it. Well, we did our research and today happens to be National Pie day! If you’re into the sweet & salty combo and love peanut butter, then you need to give this recipe a try.
So push the guilt aside, dust off your mixer (that you just HAD to have as a wedding gift) and get ready for this easy and delicious Mud Pie that if you decide to share, your family & friends will rave about!
You'll Need the Following Ingredients
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
4. Microwave chocolate chips and remaining cream on high; stir until smooth. Cool slightly. Spread chocolate mixture over peanut butter mixture. If desired, top with additional crushed pretzels. Refrigerate, covered, until set, about 3 hours.
Without fail, every single time I host a house party and he brings this as an appetizer, no one cares or discusses any of the dishes I've thoughtfully prepared. Instead I hear on repeat "oh my gosh! this guac!... this is sooo good, what did you do differently?... Jeff, have you tried this guac yet?! It's so good!"
He doesn't introduce anything difficult and the ingredients are items you probably already have around your house, but might not have considered mixing into your guacamole before dipping. When you read how easy this recipe is, you'll ditch the dry packet ingredients and give this recipe a go! You (and your guests) won't regret your decision.
Follow these Simple Instructions and You'll have Delicious Guac in No-Time!
1. Before getting started, be sure your avocados are ripe! If they aren't ripe, your ingredients won't mix well and the guac will not have the flavor you desire. We recommend purchasing avocados at least 3-4 days in advance of actually wanting to use them. (Pro tip: If they ripen before you had planned to use them, place them in your refrigerator and it will slow down the ripening process.) Halve and deseed your avocados. Scoop out the good stuff into a mixing bowl.
2. In your mixing bowl combine avocados with garlic, lime juice, red onion, cilantro, jalapeno, splash of olive oil, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Mix thoroughly but be cautious not turn your guac into mush - chunks of avocado are perfectly fine!
3. Add salt & pepper to taste.
4. Now this last step is actually very important - refrigerate for 15-30 minutes before serving. This will allow the flavor to fully present itself and the guac will taste wonderful when served slightly chilled. (Pro tip: If you need to make this guacamole further in advance than 30 minutes, place the avocado seed on top of the guac mixture, cover and seal, place in the refrigerator. This will keep the green guac from browning. We do not recommend preparing this guac more than a few hours in advance.)
Pair with your favorite dipping device (AKA chips) sip your wine and watch your guests enjoy this refreshing green treat!

We received a new shipment of quote magnets and asked the staff at FR & Co to pick the magnet/quote that best relates to them!
Magnet choice: “Accidentally went grocery shopping on an empty stomach and now I’m the proud owner of aisle 4.”
"This is me to a tee! Sad thing is… I don’t even have to be hungry while shopping. I’ll still leave with aisle 4 and 6! My family has always said that my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I’ve always ordered too much food and I think I always will. Whoops!"
JULIA
Magnet choice: “Come here you beautiful cup of coffee and lie to me about how much we’re going to get done today.”
"This hits home for me. On my days off, I wake up and make a mental list of all the things I’m going to get done for the day such as: clean out my car, clean and organize the apartment, vacuum, walk the dog, go to the gym, cook dinner. But first, coffee. I need that caffeine to prepare myself for the busy day ahead, right? Well, once I get snuggled on the couch with my coffee in-hand, I end up staying there all day— watching Netflix in my pajamas."
SARAH
Magnet choice: “I don’t know what I’d do without coffee. Probably twenty-five to life."
"Anything singing the praises of coffee is totally relatable to me. A cup of crazy good coffee fixes everything. (Well, almost everything and if coffee can’t do it, it is a job for wine, right?) Just add coffee for an instant better human with me."
Magnet choice: "There's always that one sister..."
"Proudly entertaining my two older brothers with my antics since 1987."

Q: What exactly is FR & Co Friends?
Christina: FR & Co Friends is a program that lets us work with women who really exemplify our brand. Our influencers (friends) share our products through their social media platforms to spread the word about FR & Co and what we have to offer for women in every stage of life.
Q: What are you looking for in a "Friend"?
Christina: We are looking for someone who can be an extension of us. Someone who can enjoy our products and introduce us to their friends. We are looking for "friends" in every stage of womanhood who share our values and humor. We hope to find women we can work with on an ongoing basis. You don't necessarily need a huge social following; what excites us most is a close-knit and engaged social following. Bonus: you have a blog.
Q: What does this partnership entail?
Christina: We want this partnership to be genuine. We will work together to find a product that best fits based on our "friends'" social circle and following. From there, we will send the product free of cost. Once the product is received, we ask the influencer to share their new FR & Co product with their group of friends. As far as the content goes, we want to keep it real and honest. We want our "friends" to speak from the heart about how much they love the product and why they have it.
Q: Why did FR & Co start this program?
Christina: This is a new marketing channel that works for us while keeping it real, which is what we are all about. Hearing about a product from someone you know and trust means a lot these days. We want to create real relationships with people.
Q: What type of information needs to be provided from potential "friends"?
Christina: Information about themselves, what stage of womanhood they are currently in, what product(s) from FR & Co they would be interested in sharing and why, what product(s) they believe their followers would like to see and why, sharing their social media handles and blog if they have it.
If you think you would be a good fit for FR & Co Friends, please email Christina at christina@frandcompany.com.

This year was the 47th annual Festival of the Little Hills—the premier arts and craft show in the Midwest. Each year, the festival celebrates the rich history of St. Charles and showcases more than 300 vendors, craft demonstrations and antique dealers along Main Street.
Quick history fact—“Little Hills” comes from the location that gave the city of St. Charles its original name, Les Petites Cotes which was founded by French Canadian explorer Louis Blanchette.
As you can imagine, the foot traffic on Main Street during this time is elevated. So, we stocked up on product, spruced up our displays, and extended our store hours to accommodate this eclectic St. Louis favorite festival which has guests that return annually from all over the country.
Our storefront was conveniently placed between the scrumptious Grandma’s Cookies’ tent (a local favorite) and an old fashioned fresh-squeezed lemonade set-up— both of which came in clutch because the FR & Co team members all have a nagging sweet tooth. Another great perk to being on Main Street during the Festival of the Little Hills is that we have the best playlist—live music! This year (2018), Trixie Delight and Dr. Zhivegas were the headliners.
We enjoyed seeing many familiar and new faces of all ages during the three-day weekend extravaganza. It’s always a treat to watch customers’ reactions to seeing our products for the first time. Our tea towel rack collected an endless supply of smiles and laughs. See our humorous collection of tea towels.
We love being a part of Main Street and all the fun events that happen throughout the year. See you next year, Festival of the Little Hills!
Intrigued? Check out this video we made to document this year’s festival experience on main street (peep us at the 34 second mark)!

By July of 2017 (yes, about two weeks later) we paid out our lease terms on Second street, packed up our disaster of an office space and moved one whole street over to Main street, St. Charles. With absolutely no exaggeration - you could throw a rock from our office on Second street and hit our new space on Main street. What can I say? I'm a creature of habit, so we didn't move far. The space was something we could grow into (and boy did we grow! we outgrew it 2 months later and moved online operations to a separate office & warehouse location.) The Storefront location on Main street was ideal - I just couldn't pass up the opportunity.
There we were on Main street in St. Charles; we had made it! For so many local small businesses and aspiring boutique owners, it's a big deal to be part of this particular street. Main street is a historic district - flooded with rich history, brick paved roads and a community that works diligently to maintain the integrity and beauty of the street. It felt surreal. Not only did I now have my own Storefront, with FR & Co products displayed proudly throughout the store, but I would slowly start to become part of something larger than the street - the community. In months to come, we would experience the many festivals and events that are unique to our street (more on this later!)
On August 11th, 2017 we opened the doors to our friends and family for the Grand Opening of The Storefront. We were nowhere near ready but we had to take the leap. (Seriously, if we didn't open those doors and start making money soon I was going to be delivering pizzas on the midnight shift.) So, with only one-third of our retail floor stocked with product, friends serving as bartenders and 90% of the display pieces being furniture from my house - I experienced one of the best nights of my life. And the crazy thing is, it probably didn't seem like much to many folks there with us that night but I spent the entire evening fighting back tears as so many people came out in support of this brand and in turn, my dream.
In the past year, we've moved our office and warehouse operations out from the back of the store and filled every space from front door to back door with products we're proud to offer. We've turned the stock room into a Baby and Kids section and we've met thousands of customers we can't wait to see again. More effort, struggle, growth and gratitude has taken place since July of last year than I could ever begin to express in one blog post.
So for now, I'm going to embrace the year past (pat myself and my team on the back) and prepare for what the next year has in store for us!

Frank Regards started in my apartment 4 years ago as a greeting card company. My purpose was exactly as it sounds, I wanted to bring greeting cards to the market that said exactly what someone meant, they would be frank. Frank regards, if you will. That brand and that purpose was (and always will be) near and dear to my heart but we’ve grown. Our mission hasn’t changed but the way we fulfill it has. This year we’re debuting a brand that will serve a greater audience and a greater purpose. It was a long process and surprisingly emotional for me.
Last year, as my own life entered a new stage (motherhood) I started to question who we had become as a brand and where we were headed.
Our mission then (and now) is to bring something exciting to a woman at any stage of her life. We want to be there with you if you’re headed off to college and just starting your coffee mug collection, engaged AF and ready to celebrate in style, decorating your first home (or your 3rd home) becoming a mom for the first time and dreaming of copious amounts of vino or dropping your youngest off for college and dealing by drinking copious amounts of vino. We want to be here for the first time Nana’s, and for the woman who is 55 and living her best life with absolutely no labels.
We want to be there for a woman at any stage in her life.
This long thought process lead us to question who we want our brand to be every single day. We want to help women fulfill their lives. We want to be along for the ride. For whatever version of life they’re choosing to live. We want our designs, products and the partners we choose, to fulfill this mission by bringing women quality products at affordable prices.
Quality products at affordable prices.
There’s a lot of responsibility in such a short sentence. If I personally can’t vouch for the product, we don’t carry it. If I wouldn’t want that product in my home or on my body, we don’t produce it and we don’t bring it to market. We quality check every single item. We touch dozens of materials, sample multiple prints and over-communicate with our production teams to ensure the product we bring you is GREAT. We want shirts to be soft to the touch, sweatshirts to be long for leggings, coffee mugs to be dishwasher safe, and pillows that are over-stuffed, not under-stuffed. We are finicky about our goods but it’s because we want them to be above-average and that doesn’t change just because you no longer read Frank Regards on the label and now find FR & Co.
Introducing, FR & Co.
In 2018, FR & Co is working on expansions to our traditional line of products, as well as introducing a line of home goods and rolling out a sister company, FR & Co Kids. (My son, Leo just turned 1. So if you personally know me, you knew this had to be coming!)
With the rebrand to FR & Co and the launch of FR & Co Kids, we want to assure you that the humor and honesty you’ve found in Frank Regards isn’t going anywhere. Hence, the decision to keep “FR” because that’s still who we are at our core. FR is still here, but as our lives evolve so has our brand.
So, we rebranded.
]]>Banners- We are now offering two new banners for your home decor that redefine the walls. Proudly display your #1 house rule with this beauty: Be Kind, Even On Your Bad Days. It's our version of the Golden Rule 2.0 and we think the styling gives it a modern update. Our second new banner says Let's Stay Home in in a beautiful, bold script. Tired after a long week? Peeved from rush hour traffic? Just can't shake a foul mood? Gaze at your walls with these new items, and immediately improve your day!
Aprons- One of our most favorite designs ever comes on this new FR & Co apron! Fun, flirty, and franking awesome, let your friends and family know your preferred ingredient in this Cooks Well With Wine design with calm blue detailing. Whether you're casseroling or frozen pizza opening, you'll be the Kitchen Queen in this new number.
Pillows- Are you ready to say, "Hello" with these inviting and conversational new pillows? Stake claim on your favorite seat in the house with a His or Hers option, or prep the room for a Netflix night with the Get Cozy piece. These four new pillows are just begging you to come take a load off, and we're game for that. All of them stand alone beautifully or pair well as a set, whichever you choose!
Jute Tote- This bag is our favorite new bag, hands down. A jute shoulder tote with Fruits, Veggies, and Junk Food printed on one side; it has us planning our next trip to the Farmer's Market. It's the perfect size for that quick grocery trip, and completely reusable- everything green and good. You'll be filling this bad boy up ASAP, but don't worry, we won't be inspecting the calorie count!
We may be biased, but this new Home Line has us swooning. From design to execution, we can't wait for you to use these in your abode. In the house or on the go, let FR & Co deck you out from head to home. As always...
Keep it Frank.
]]>Long distance relationships with friends can be hard, even when you've been in each other's lives forever. When you can't share the day to day experiences, you may feel like all of your calls fall into the same scripted conversation: updates, follow-ups, and the "talk to you soons." Don't let living apart cause you to grow apart, but instead consider some of these opportunities to keep up with the Kardashians your star-crossed bestie.
Take Up a Long-Distance Hobby- Not everything you and your platonic soul-mate do "together" has to be done in physical tandem. One of our (seriously work in progress) passions here at FR & Co is learning calligraphy and hand-lettering. As a beautiful and creative outlet, we can decompress and share some pen-pal love through keeping in touch! We recommend tutorials from Amy of One Artsy Mama, to pick up some tips. Her tutorials are easy to follow and excellent quality, bar none. Everyone enjoys receiving snail mail, and what better way to say, "I Miss You" than on this card displaying your new talent. The time it takes and beauty it exudes (after practice) makes this a thoughtful happy that you can do individually, but track progress as a pair!
Create Conversations that Aren't So-So- How's work? How's the fam? What are you doing this weekend? These general rut diggers in a conversation can lead to nothing memorable when you're limited on time to connect. If you haven't already been updated with this general "BFF 411" via social media or the group chat, then you're stuck wasting some of the valuable time you actually have set aside hitting these boring basics. Instead, try using some content heavy questions we've prepared that can really open up those heart to hearts:
1) What's been making you most happy recently?
2) Was there anything this week/month that really caused you to take pause and be grateful?
3) What are you really hoping to accomplish or do this year?
As "hokey" as some of this may sound, (I get it, this isn't a personality test) they are great questions to ask that would be discussed if you lived closer. They allow you to hear the details from the source, not just tidbits relegated through an instagram snapshot you double-tap. Put for this effort and you'll be surprised what you learn. Easy input for a more valuable output, amirite?
Send Gifts- Now hold up, Frank. I'm certain you didn't just attempt to run up a Veuve Clicquot bill on my Barefoot pinot budget, right? We know, we know, we know guys, don't snap your corks off. By the word "gifts" we are by no means implying a Hanukkah-series present exchange every time you visit the mailbox. We say gifts in reference to a small, occasional happy that focuses on thoughtfulness in it's delivery, no matter the shape or form or cost.
If words are your method of friendship love language, a moment of thought put into picking the perfect funny or supportive GIF can brighten someone's day. A special type of candy randomly says I thought of you and wanted to share. Even an email just popping by to say "I appreciate you" is a wonderful gesture to connect. These small "gifts" have value with little expense but a lot of impact: definition of bang for your buck. And when you randomly want to send a gift that requires a little extra investment, there are lots of new ways to show some long distance friend love. We're totally digging this modern spin on the classic BFF's necklace by SeoulLittle. The sweet "Best Babes" message on these gold lapel pens say we have flair and style. Pinned to your favorite ball cap or crossbody strap, think of your LD gal pal every time you see your half.
The Good Vibes coffee mug is also an awesome and inexpensive reminder for positivity that your friend will love to sip (whatever she likes) out of. Starting her Mon-daze with a dose of energy and thoughtfulness is an excellent way to keep your friendship in mind. We'll even write a hand-written note for you, just leave the deets in your order message! Remember, your vibe attracts your tribe!
So basically, here's the deal. At FR & Co, we value women supporting women and want to encourage those relationships to grow and prosper. Through all walks of life, this camaraderie is unlike any other, and we hope any of these tips can assist in helping you nurture yours. With a little focused investment, you can (cue the cliché) let absence make the heart grow fonder!
It's that or walk 500 miles... you choose.
Keep it Frank.

When even a trip to Target isn't worth getting the babes out in this lingering winter slush, you know that it's just too damn cold (still). Mama's of the world, we know the seasonal blues are holding strong, so here are a few suggestions to help make the great indoors less Prison Break and more Modern Family.
Comfort is Key: From your head to your frigid toes, make sure that if you can't get out in your favorite #OOTD, that you're staying in with comfort and quality. To make the day a little more bear-able, we suggest this Frank Regards sweatshirt. Lightweight, long-sleeved, and soft enough for all your little Cub's hugs, this top makes staying in worthwhile. Wrestle about in pillow forts or cozily conceal while playing hide-and-seek (in the same four spots you've used all day); either way you're set to Mama with the best of them.
Staying Healthy while Hibernating: Part of the drear of being stuck inside comes with knowing just every bug you're avoiding catching in this flu-ridden apocalypse season. Staying inside might be a safeguard, but don't forget these few in-house measures to ensure your wellness. Hand washing is even more crucial in the winter months, but we absolutely dread the dryness associated with healthy hands. We recommend this Rejuvenating Rose Butter by Nourish Organic to help. Certified organic, with a smooth and fast-absorbing formula, your hands will begin to feel replenished in no time. We're big fans of the natural and organic lines from Thrive Market and this has become a go-to for the FR staff.
Another natural immune booster is upping your water intake. Staying hydrated helps the body regulate at it's peak capacity, a focus not usually expressed throughout the winter. Though momming around indoors MIGHT not make you feel as exerted as you would in better weather, your water consumption shouldn't take the hit. Though we're craving--needing-- more of those hot chocolate and caffeinated goodies (see our FR favorite local coffee here), Frank Regards recommends these super fun S'well water bottles for downing the H20. With so many options, it's like accessorizing your health every time you fill up. The bright colors and patterns, like our favorite the Ultraviolet, have us mentally preparing for Summer since the only thing hot right now is our thermostat. And FR beauty bonus, hydrated skin looks younger and fresher, so even if the cooped up chitlin's are graying the hairs exponentially, your new S'well is working to turn back the hands of time.
Speaking of hair, when was the last time you took some time to give yourself a great deep conditioning treatment? Never, maybe? Put those long baby naps or Disney marathons to good use, and follow this bomb hair treatment from one blogger the FR staff loves to follow, Carrie Bradshaw Lied. Get that mane ready for when you actually can leave the house and enjoy your own mini spa/laundry room/nursery treatments that's sure to have locks on fleek. (is fleek still a thing? It's been so long since we've been out).
We don't know when Mother Nature is going to give it a rest, so until she's let's up, Frank Regards hopes you'll find some liberation with us. Here are a few, final, cabin fever buzz killers we suggest to help pass the time...

FR favorite reads: anything Cara Alwill Leyba
FR favorite in-home meditations: Meditation on the Yoga with Adriene channel on Youtube
